CONGRATULATIONS TO JORDAN SHEPHERD & DARREN BUI

FROM MATTEA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

YOU ARE THE 2012 FLIP FOR PHYSICS WINNERS!!!

Click here for the video of their lab visit to Argonne National Lab and interview with Dr. Bernstein.

Through your teacher, Mr. Kirkpatrick, we'll make sure that each of you receives a Flip camera of your own to keep, so that you may continue exploring the world around you and documenting your thoughts and ideas. From the quality of your video, there's clearly much talent in your group! Congratulations again!!

We also want to congratulate Dixon Chan, Nathan Livingston, and Nathan Rogers for an excellent video on Underwriter's Laboratory, here . We're very excited about sharing this video! It was a difficult choice.

All of the final completed videos will be posted on your specific lab's website, as well as on here and here. We'll send an email once they've been posted.

To all the other teams who started the process but were unable to finish, please consider taking some time this summer to send us a final edit. The labs you visited are very interested in sharing the footage you created.

Finally -- from the feedback on the post-surveys, it's clear that the experience of visiting the labs, speaking with the scientists, and making the videos was much appreciated and worthwhile. But we very much want to heartily thank all of you for your patience through our first year of the program. We have learned A LOT about how to better support each team through the process ---including having a better sense of the length of time needed for each step, the additional support we need to provide in terms of training and advice for using the cameras (both for shot and sound quality), and how best to communicate with the teams to help keep everyone on track for completing the final draft of the video on time.

We'll be running Flip4Physics 2.0 starting next fall. For all the teams, please consider participating again. We'd love to have you!

Thank you again!
